What changed
VIX scenarios now show a prominent Manual-only scenario notice when the connected market-data source cannot provide the quote and listed option details OPK needs. Refresh controls that cannot succeed are removed from the primary path.
The notice directs you to enter the contract and pricing details manually in Details & assumptions or bring them in through Qurxa. The calculation action becomes available once the required manual inputs are present.
Why it helps
An available button implies that another tap might load the missing data. For an unsupported market-data scenario, repeated refresh attempts only create uncertainty about whether the page is still working.
The manual-only state explains the limitation at the point where it matters and immediately identifies the workflow that still works. If broader VIX market data becomes available later, OPK can return that scenario to the normal market-assisted flow.
